Paragraph 96 Move Selection Process is now Complete

Paragraph 96 Move Criteria   (Sign up period 4/20/09 – 5/1/09)

  • In production, your plant date is used; for example – If you have a plant date of 1/7/85 that is the date you use to be selected and your longest unbroken date is the tie breaker with other employees with 1/7/85 date.
  • If you have a plant date earlier than 1/7/85 that is the date you use to be selected.
  • In skilled trades, for those members that have a 1/7/85 trade date, then the tie breaker is your longest unbroken trade date in that classification.
  • In skilled trades, if you have a plant trade date better that 1/7/85, then that is the date used to be selected.
  • Under the current UAW-GM National Agreement, an employee can receive up to $30,000 to relocate outside of the area hire.
  • There is no penalty for refusing a paragraph 96 move.
  • You can sign up for multiple plants but you can only select one plant for a move.
